Bungalows with a 360° garden is a dream, and especially for those who own it, who wouldn’t want to make the best use out of their surroundings? Designed to let in greenery along with the natural light, owners would wake up to a pleasant and refreshing view first thing in the morning. The incorporation of large marble walls not only accentuated the natural tones of the space, its spanning surfaces also added depth in perception when contrasted with other dark timbre elements in the room. The play of light and shadow was more pronounced when sunlight came through during varying times of the day and bounced off smooth-textured marble tops.
Having designed a house that truly reflects the owners’ warm and relaxed character, according to Nile, founder and creative director of Kolab Studio, this is how true style is born: out of the realistic consideration of one’s needs and habits instead of just commiting to ideas that does not take the available resources at hand into account.
